Texas Cavalier River Parade
One-of-a-kind Celebration of San Antonio and its People

Each spring, the Texas Cavaliers River Parade fills the San Antonio River with color, music, and celebration. Be part of this unforgettable night from the best seats along the river. Every ticket purchased helps support the Texas Cavaliers Charitable Foundation and its mission to brighten the lives of children across our community.

The River Parade flows downstream through the heart of downtown San Antonio, so the further along the route you are, the later the floats will arrive. Choose an early viewing spot for families and young children, or a later section to enjoy the glow of the river at night and dinner before the show.

Frequently Asked Qustions
What is the theme of the 2026 River Parade?

The theme for this year's parade is "Through the Decades: A Centennial Celebration," which coincides with the Texas Cavaliers' 100 year celebration in 2026.

Who is the Grand Marshal for the 2026 parade?

This year we selected, Leon McNeil, of City Kids Adventures, as our Grand Marshal.

Leon and his wife, Leticia, established City Kids Adventures in 1995 with a simple yet powerful mission - to educate, mentor, and actively engage inner-city youth, giving them the opportunity to experience the outdoors.

Where can I stand or sit?

If you have reserved seating, look for signs directing you towards your seats. You can find additional seating information through local newspapers or use the parade seat locator on the Fiesta San Antonio page.

Are there any rules or regulations for the parade?

There is a non-smoking ban for all parades in Texas, so you are not permitted to smoke during the River Parade. For more rules and regulations, visit the Fiesta website.

Am I allowed to drink alcohol at the parade?

Yes, many spectators walk around with alcoholic beverages in-hand. Alcoholic beverages are sold at Fiesta, but you can also bring your own beer. No glass containers, please.

Do you accommodate those in wheelchairs?

It is our goal to accommodate all spectators. We will have a handicapped section available and ramps present at the parade.
