About Float Participation

A limited number of floats are available in the Texas Cavaliers River Parade, and each year a small group of mission-driven nonprofit organizations is invited to participate. Because demand far exceeds available space, participation is not open to for-profit businesses or through general application. Eligible nonprofits are reviewed annually, and selected organizations are notified each November.

Established nonprofit organizations serving children, families, or community needs in the San Antonio area are reviewed each year for potential participation.

Invited organizations are finalized in the fall, and participants are notified in November.

Can we bring additional guests?

Each organization receives a designated number of participant spots. Details are shared in the confirmation packet sent in Fall.

Can organizations request a specific float or placement?

Assignments are determined by the River Parade Committee and may vary each year based on overall parade structure.

How can nonprofits express interest in future participation?

Eligible organizations are reviewed annually. While there is no public application, nonprofits are welcome to stay engaged with the Cavaliers’ mission and charitable programs.
