King Antonio
Carrying Out the Texas Cavaliers Mission and Vision

King Antonio XCVII (2019) - Roger C. Hill III

Roger C. Hill III, was selected by his fellow Cavaliers to serve as King Antonio XCVII. Hill has big boots to fill as both his father, Roger C. Hill, Jr. and his uncle Bruce H. C. Hill, were elected King in 1998 and 2002, respectively.

Hill is a San Antonio native, born and raised here. After graduating from Texas Tech University with a degree in Animal Science, he quickly changed gears when he moved back to San Antonio and began his 14-year career in commercial real estate. He is married to Sally Sellers Hill and have two children, 10-year-old Roger IV, known as Cuatro and eight-year-old daughter Ellie.

Since becoming a member of the Texas Cavaliers in 2003, he has served as President of the Board on the Texas Cavalier Charitable Foundation Board, Commander of the Texas Cavaliers, and in 2015 he served as Parade Marshal of the River Parade “Believe,” when Dallas Cowboy Emmitt Smith served as Honorary Grand Marshal, helping the Cavalier support the Boys & Girls Clubs of San Antonio and TEAMability, focusing on children with physical disabilities, raising some $1.2 million for San Antonio children’s organizations.

"I am humbled to have the opportunity to visit some of San Antonio’s most needed children’s charities and to visit with children at local elementary schools to spread some Fiesta fun with a positive, encouraging message.”

Roger has enjoyed being very active in the community and has served on many non-profit boards and committees, including San Antonio Academy, Fiesta San Antonio Commission Executive Committee, Fiesta San Antonio Commission Board of Commissioners and the Texas Wildlife Association.

As King, Roger and his aides are already scheduled for more than 150 visits to schools; children’s charities; nursing homes; veterans homes and pediatric units at local hospitals, each stop bringing King’s Medals and a bit of Fiesta VIVA.

His goal as King? Bringing much-needed attention to the 67 charitable organizations that the Texas Cavaliers will fund this year. Each of these organizations plays a vital role in the care, feeding, housing, educating and healing of San Antonio’s children.

VIVA THE TEXAS CAVALIERS!
